About Kelly
Kelly Taylor, ABCDT- L2, a Certified Dog Trainer, is the Co-founder and former President and Director of The Boxer Rescue, Inc. Kelly's lifelong passion for dogs was sparked during her childhood, surrounded by various canine breeds and horses. Her journey began when she rescued a dog in need of a forever home, which altered the course of her life. Volunteering at a local rescue and adopting her first Boxer led her to discover the challenges of dealing with reactive behavior in dogs. Subsequently, she fostered and later adopted a deaf white Boxer, both of whom exhibited behavioral issues that required
attention.
Motivated by her dogs' needs, Kelly co-founded The Boxer Rescue, Inc., noticing the behavioral problems of surrendered dogs into rescue, she pursued her certification as a professional dog trainer. This skill not only benefited her own dogs but also aided rescued dogs in finding permanent homes through positive reinforcement training.
Balancing her full-time role as an office manager in the biotech and semiconductor industry, Kelly teaches pet classes at MasterPeace Dog Training in Franklin, MA on the weekends. In her spare time she enjoys participating in classes with her two dogs, who have earned titles in Agility, Obedience, and Tricks. Both dogs continue to further their education in competition obedience, nose work, and agility.
Kelly excelled at Animal Behavior College, earning honors, and attaining her Level 2 Certification. Committed to furthering her education, she continuously participates in classes, attends seminars, and is actively involved in several canine organizations including ADPT, PPG, and AKC. Kelly also serves as an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Trick Dog Evaluator, and AKC Fetch Dog Judge. Noteworthy seminars and classes she has participated in include those led by Ken Ramirez, Emma Parsons, Sue Sternberg, Dr. Ian Dunbar, and other renowned experts in the field.
